In einer weltweiten Umfrage hat Cultural Vistas unser umfangreiches Alumni-Netzwerk nach den globalen Herausforderungen befragt, die ihre Communities und ihr Leben am meisten beeinflussen. Die Alumni haben uns ermutigt, unsere Arbeit auf vier Schlüsselbereiche zu konzentrieren, wonach unsere Programmaktivitäten ausgerichtet werden sollen:
- Aktion gegen den Klimawandel
- Starke demokratische Gesellschaften und Institutionen
- Gesundheit und Sicherheit
- Interkulturelle Kompetenz, Diversität, Gleichstellung & Inklusion (“ICDEI”)
ICDEI encompasses not only the intercultural skills that our participants cultivate as a result of their engagement with our programs but also aims to address inequalities of all kinds in the communities we serve. As one of the core values of our organization, ICDEI challenges us to elevate and integrate historically marginalized voices, while working toward the continual disruption of systems, structures, policies, and practices which intentionally and unintentionally privilege some individuals while excluding and discriminating against others. This is loosely oriented on United Nations SDGs #10 and #5.
